They are pretty fanatical. I have some in my family, and they think that the rest of us are going to hell. They are always telling us we need to believe like them or face eternal damnation. It makes me feel bitter that they are going to pay people (pastor, etc.) and then allow their "employees" make them feel like they need to tear the family apart to be good christians. Any religion that sows so much hate while preaching love is a load of smelly, green, sh!t.

Do their rituals actually scare u? :P
their singing and listening to the Bible doesnt' seem that scary. Infact it's more loving than most religions. I'm an evangelical Christian and i'm not scared of any other religion... i mean... some other religions make the people carry knives on them but theres no need to be scared of them. You have to respect every religion. Trust me Lol.. america is not ran by us... If anything envangelicals are here to serve.. we want to serve the people on our streets .. not run america.

I'm a Christian, and I can say that although I respect their zeal for God, they can be fanatical and extremely stubborn. Also, I hate that they only vote Republican, thinking that the Republicans are holy, or something. Neither party really is, but right now, the Demos are the lesser of two evils, and yet who will the "evangelicals" vote for? --- the Republicans. God forbid the gays get married! That'll be the end of America! Oh no!

Being one.... I think we're pretty cool.

Might I mention, when the media films and presents evangelicals- they zero in on the fanatics. The Wailers, the fainters, the weirdos.

Outsiders then think that we are freaks. We aren't. We could be your neighbor...or more likely the person who is volunteering for a good cause.

Stop being prejudice by thinking we are all your stereotypical fanatic. We aren't.

We love God, we worship Christ. We believe in the Bible. We are to do God's work on the earth.

Oh...and we don't all vote Republican,

Imagine THAT!

aNOTHER stereotype smashed.

Our preachers don't tell us how to vote...again, you listen to the media and think the FEW on the fringe are ALL of us.

Investigate for yourself!

I watch Joel Osteen and He is called to preach by God. it is so clear just by listening to Him share the word of God with such love and compassion.

IF an Evangelical creeps you out, it's probably due to the fact that you might not be living according to God's laws, and it's not the messanger that upsets you as much as what God's message is doing to you on the inside.

The word of God forces you to take a good look at yourself from the inside out. It shows you what part of you needs to be changed in order for you to be a better person in the eyes of God, and eventually finding your way to Jesus. Praise the Lord!!

A fundamentalist Evangelical Christian is one who believes that there exists an all powerful, all knowing, universe spanning entity that has a deep and personal interest in your sex life. They are to be feared, they believe it is a violation of their rights if they are denied the opportunity to use the coercive power of the state to shove their god down your throat.
