Is there anything else you can do? I have tried to contact the person they ignore me, i email, phone, go by their house and they are not there or they tell me an empty promise that they are going to pay me. Is there ways to get them arrested for not paying? What about warrants, or liens against property that they own? How about filing it with a credit baurea?

Yeah right call the police. People getting raped and killed, and they're investigating someone who owes you money. Trust me, in most places, the police only respond to violence or serious crime.

My sister once got taken to court by an old landlord, and he won the case, she has a judgement against her. To this day she hasn't paid him a dime. A judge does not have the physical ability to force someone to do something. It's a matter of that going on their record more than anything.

My advice is, if it's a lot of money, and you want to pursue it, ask a lawyer what your real options are. Maybe you can look into having his wages garnished or something. But it will involve you continuing to pester them.

You are not as helpless as you feel. You can proceed against them in Court and if your claim is upheld by the Courts you can enforce it by taking out a decree from the court. The decree would enable you to attach his bank account, pay slip, auction his movable and immovable assets. I believe there i also a provision of civil jail for default.

Do not think that Law has left you high and dry. It always stands by your side.

Ask the Small Claims Court to provide a US Marshall. They should have given you a list of offices but maybe they overlooked it. The Marshall will definitely collect, no problem.

If they have a job, you can request a garnishment from the court.

You as a person can't turn in a collection to a credit bureau, but you can turn it over to an attorney for collectons and they can turn it in.

DON'T.

THAT IS TEH RESPONSIBILITY OF THE COURT TO DO SO.
THEY CAN HAVE YOU CHARGE WITH HARASSMENT..
EVEN COMMUNICATING THREATS.

IF THEY HAVE NOT PAID WITHIN 30 DAYS OF SMALL COURT CLAIM DATE--
YOU HAVE TO FILE THE SECOND TIME-
THIS TIME THE SHERIFF DELIVERS THE COURT ORDER.

SO FILE THE SECOND SMALL CLAIMS SUIT..
