I have a credit card and my limit is 2,000 dollars. Ok, I went to Wisconsin in April of this year and that's when I spent all of the limit on the card. Now it's November and my card is still at the same amount it was and my husband has paid it off every month. But lately they have messed up on sending the statement and I have called them and told them they have to take off the late fee because we were late for last months payment. Now my issue is how the hell will I ever get it paid off if they keep charging me these late fees? I know I need to pay it off on time. The only problem is that my husband pays it off because I don't work right now. I am moving to Wisconsin soon and I plan on getting a job there it's just I'm really concerned that my jerk of a husband don't mess anything up while I'm gone. If anyone can help me with some ideas please do. Otherwise instant message me on yahoo! with the screen name worriedprincess. Thanks!

Call the credit card company and make sure that your payment was received.

See if you can pay online. If not, send in a check for as much as you can as soon as you can (and it must be at least the minimum payment) It's your card and your husband isn't responsibility to pay it. Also, if the company sent out a statement, it doesn't matter if you didn't get it, you still have no grounds to ask for removal of the late payment charges. You know when your due date is if you've gotten one or more of your statements.

You don't have to wait for the bill to pay. Pay a little over minimum payment amount.

Good luck. I will never use another credit card again.

you so need to get your crap together.

once you do call a credit recovery place and arrange monthly payments. they'll take care of the interest and stuff. Basically they'll pay it off and you pay them back. but you need to get your head on straight first and stop making excuses for all the stuff that you're screwing up first. seriously.

Looks like you already screwed things up even without your husband's help.

My only idea is for you to read Dave Ramsey's book The Total Money Makeover. www.daveramsey.com
