I have chin-length thick somewhat coarse hair and I want to grow it long. I need to keep it healthy because I'm donating it to Wigs for Kids once it's long enough. What are the best ways to keep it as healthy as possible?

Well, the only thing that could keep your hair from being healthy or could even hinder it from growing is split ends. Just use a very good conditioner and rub it in the ends rather than the roots, try to stay away from heat (or use a shampoo that repairs heat damage, like Thermasilk or Pantene ProV ), and get a trim every three months or so. Even tell your stylist to cut it just enough to get the splits out.

use a REAL conditionar that will keep your hair healthy. try to stay away from heating stuff like straighteners, blow dryers, and curling irons. to keep it nice for them, get a snip or two off the ends every once in a while. i will take a little lnoger but your hair will be healthier because you will be preventing split ends

Hair loss affects both men and women. Here are some natural remedies that can help boost hair growth: https://bitly.im/aMKis While genetics plays a role, there are other factors, including: hormonal imbalances, an underactive thyroid gland, nutrient deficiencies and insufficient scalp circulation.

drink lots of water.... don't wash your hair everyday, do it every other day.... don't damage it by using a blowdryer, flat iron or something
