There are so many different ideas because you can't really disprove a belief. You just have to respect all the beliefs out here.

I believe in the power of Love and my goal is to achieve unconditional Love if possible, as hard as it is I am going to try.
Love is the Key.
There will always be differing opinions about the nature of God because there are so many Religious beliefs.
I believe that there is the All Thing and some refer to as the Creator or God. And i believe everything has its place and that there is deeper connection to the Universe and nature than what most see.

I read the Holy Books with the belief that they are the Word of God. And the Word of God is definitely the Lord of all words.
The Holy Books answered all questions, past, present and future.
The Nature of God is a Reality beyond all human comprehension, therefore the more man tries to explain, the more he becomes confused. He cannot explain, he can only learn little by little from the successive Messengers of the One True God.

I called out on GOD and HE Saved me. That is Why I Believe. GOD showed ME that HE is REAL.

God is so emense that our tiny selves can never explore it all. We like travellers to a foriegn land come back with different impressions of that land. Does that mean we went to different lands. Once listened to two sailors went ashore the same day to Singapore. They had both come back to our compartment and were discussing their day. One who had not been to singapore as my friend the grunt said at the time he could not believe they had been to the same place. I on the other hand being an old salt had been there often and could identify both excursions, as part of my experience.
your secret code is so cute, mine is also but I try to be transparent for your benefit.

Because there is evidence every where around me that there is a God and Krishna says in the Gita "Whenever there is a decline in religious principals and the truth appears to be lost,l appear again and again or send my representative to reestablish the truth." So God establishes the truth then man misinterprets the Text and again God has to send another depending on the time place and circumstance and again it becomes distorted so again and again. One God many misinterpretations. The ancient Christian Essenes have the Dead sea scrolls were lost for thousands of years GO to http://www.essene.org for what the catholic Church does not want you to know and http://www.stephen-knapp.com for universal truths

i believe what i believe as a result of spirit communication
i wasnt always a medium .. i didnt really believe in God
but when i began my mediumship and realised people live on after death ... the rest just fell into place
i believe the nature of God changes , because people need something that makes sense to them and helps them through life
so from place to place and person to person that image is different
personally i dont like to have ideas about God and claim to know what he/she does and why

I was raised in a very small community of the faithful who worship the Great Goddess, Isis. We have worshiped Her since time began. We are the oldest continuous religion in the world. For me, Isis is my Lady and my Teacher. I am named after Her and have always believed in her mercy, wisdom and protection.

there are different ideas because that is the nature of the thinking mind
I don't believe in the thinking mind
I see it as a tool
not a defining aspect of the self
So why do I believe this?

I tend to approach it more from the angle of 'what believes in me?'.
Distressingly, I find I am largely regarded as fictional, or at best symbolic of prevailing social conditions.
Sometimes I regret promising 'no more floods'.
