Hi :) I have scars on both my face and legs from various surgeries, and I have tried many things. Neither Mederma nor the Band-Aid silicone strips helped me. However, I have found a product that does: Palmer's Scar Serum. I am not sure what pharmacies you have around you but I get it in the pharmacy aisle at the grocery store.

Good luck!

Bio-Oil is excellent for reducing the appearance of scars, blemishes and stretch marks. Massage it into the area twice a day and you will soon notice the difference. There is no way to remove scars altogether, but a good plastic surgeon can do a procedure called a scar revision - depending on the scar of course. If the scar is very thick or ragged looking, surgery might be an option. Keloid (thick, lumpy) scars can be injected with steroid to shrink them.

Try the Bio-Oil first, then ask your GP for a referral to a plastic surgeon if you're not happy with the result.

I have searched quite a few sites and these seem to be the best I've come across however if your still not happy go to ask.com and type in scar removal products.

Good Luck with your search I do hope you find what your looking for as I know after quite a few operations that the scarring can leave you feeling very depressed and with little self esteem. x x

Bio Oil is really good at reducing the appearance of scars, that Palmer's stuff doesn't even come close, I've never heard anyone tell me that actually works.

I guess if it doesn't remove to as much as you want, then your only other opinion is plastic surgery.

Cocoa Butter will reduce them as will Vitamin E but only a laser will completely remove.
