I am a senior in High School, and the pressure is on about appliying to college and choosing a career, so I have decided to major in footwear design, but my family is being skeptic about my choice because they think that there isn't much about being a footwear designer, that the the salary might be to low or I will not get a job after graduation, what should I do?

Follow your heart..............but be ready to deal with what happens in the future. It could all turn out great or your parents could be right. Do what you think will make you happy as long as you are ready to deal with things if they turn bad. If you don't think you can deal with life if it turns to crap than listen to your parents.

You only get one chance to chase a dream. Go for it while you are young. You can always drop back to the usual ways of making a living, but if you think you have talent, then give it your best shot.
