hmm, it sounds like 3-4 hours, that would be when you might have eaten something? What are you eating? It could be something you are chewing or crunching that is irritating your TMJ. The TMJ ones I get are similiar to migraines but not as bad and pain meds don't touch them.
Feel around the jaw and joint, do you feel any hard spots like spasmed muscles? Anything hurt? Do your temples hurt?
Try warm, moist heat on the temples and jaw area. Also inside your mouth way back behind your upper molars or if you have wisdom teeth, there is a muscle that you can press on like a trigger point that helps. I get alot of pain in my forehead too, another thing that helps is to rub something with menthol on the forehead and jaw area and right where the jaw line meets the ears, it helps relax the muscles and deaden pain.
hope that helps.

Headaches are symptoms, and you need to consider all aspects of your general health. Headaches can be related to stress, dehydration, kidney problems, hypertension, and certain foods produce allergies that manifest themselves in other ways besides the normal sneezing, runny eyes, etc. One way that produces some results in a cold compress over the forehead and place your hands in warm (not extremely hot) water. But there are endless reasons, even a new pair of shoes could shift your weight and cause headaches. I would go to your physician and let him examine your eyes (internal exam...not for glasses), do a blood cell count and a urinalysis. He may advise medication but he may also an inhalation spray. But in the meantime, evaluate everything you do different (since the headaches began). During the autumn, people overindulge with certain produce or nuts, perhaps Halloween candy left-overs...with foods, eliminate one group at a time (i.e. bread...gluten) etc...if no improvement, add them back to your diet and eliminate another. It takes patience but answers can be found.

There are many things that can cause headaches. Best to see your doctor as soon as possible. Between the two of you an answer will be found. Please don't put it off, even if the headaches go away on their own. Pain is a signal something is wrong and it should be checked out.
