So I have been dating this guy for about 8 months. I don't call him boyfriend and he doesn't call me girlfriend but that was my decision and thats a long story. I didn't want it to be serious but it has totally gotten serious. I was really hurt when he met me sw we were taking it very slow (which was great)!!!We totally act as though we are bf/gf. I don't want to say it first. How do I get him to say it or when will he say it to me?

he doesn;t want to scare you off. You said it was your decision not to call each other bf/gf....if you want him , swallow your pride and say it first.

You thinks that 8 months old relationship is enough to saying starts to say the 3 words. You have your self respect to say those 3 words ; so he might have too. Both of you're equal in respect. But some day some one has to take a lead when you really starting to love each other.Let the fruit ripe-than eat you will have a better real taste.Or he may not considering yourself as lovable.May be you're married or he might be a married one.

sounds like you made the rules at the beginning. Now it's time for you to stand up and take responsibility for your feelings. He can't guess what you're thinking and since you already told him you don't want it to be serious, sorry, you're going to have to step out and tell him your feelings have changed.

Not fair to expect him to take all the risks while you set the rules.

Just tell him how much he means to you, and make sure he understands you're ready for something serious now. I think once he knows that, he will say those words if that's how he feels.

ok first of all or or are you not going out you have to take it slow with guys cause they dont feel things as though girls do(they dont show thier feelings well) you don't(normally) see guys sitting in their car singing to baby i love you but girls so if you get my point you will try to start it out slow by introducing your friends as your b/f and that shouldlead up to the those words

Why don't you want to say it first? You don't want to risk rejection?

Well ... (assuming he does love you), that's probably why HE doesn't want
to say it.

There is no reason you shouldn't say it first unless you believe the guy
should take all the risks and accept all of the rejection.

In which case, maybe he's better off.

He's either scared to say it becuase he feels the same as you do.
Or else he really just doesn't feel that way.

But either way he won't get mad if you ask him yourself.
He'll be yours if you ask him to be and he feels the same, and if he didn't, he'll probably be flattered, but not mad. And maybe he might think that way about you more from then on?

You should probably talk to him about it...

he will say it when he is ready and when he feels it is right. If you are in love tell him yourself, but don't expect him to respond. Its better he not say it and wait until he feels it is right and will mean it. Or you could just go out and find one of those many moronic guys who will say "i love you" just because that is whay they think a girl wants to hear, or because they think it will get them laid.

saying i love you is a huge commitment. love shouldn't be given out like pretzels. 8 months...im pretty sure you guys love eachother. you will konw when its right to say it, or he will know. and maybe he is too chicken and waiting for you to say it! one of the best times for me to say i love you is when im in the middle of a sentence, and all of the sudden i notice just how much i love the guy im with and i just have to say...I FREAKEN LOVE YOU!

Before love gets in the picture. You need to clarify your relationship and how you both feel about the situation.
