use 2 shoes show him on one and let him copy you with the other going step by step itll take time and patience but hell leartn soon enough

First make sure he does not have any velcro shoes/sneakers. I think that makes children lazy because they don't have to learn how to tie their own shoes at an earlier age. Second, the bunny are the best for explaining to the little ones.

Get a board, drill two holes on it and pull the laces through, then let him pratice by making a loop with both hand and tie around.
Or with the board you can actually try to teach him the old fashioned way, Loop in left/or right hand and then tie.

hahah i couldn't tie my shoes till i was in 4th or 5th grade. one day i just put one tie into a bow and rapped the other one around it an wala a knot :] the bunny method or whatever its called didnt help at all so don't teach him that haha

the best way is to teach him with a song. Make up something silly that he will remember or search the net

I don't know but I am having the same problem! My little one gets so frustrated when we try to show him how to do it. I wish I knew a better way to teach him too.
