If you have been doing good on your diet then you deserve a treat.
Get a cheese burger deep fried with fried onion rings and fried everything. An savor every last bite. But only get 1...and not every day. The best way to control your cravings is to not deprive yourself of what you want. Eat what you want, in small proportions.

Everything in moderation. If you completely deny yourself...it will only get worse. You'll find yourself binging and hating yourself. If your body is screaming for a cheeseburger, indulge it. Don't by Double Whopper w/cheese or the equivalent. Get a Jr. and pile on the veggies. have salad or fruit on the side instead. Or have a little vanilla ice cream for dessert. It's not near as bad as you think. You can also buy onion rings and bake instead of fry them at home. Still not great, but better. Compromise. If you give in to temptation every once in a while in small doses, it won't take over your life. Like with chocolate cravings; buy a bag of fun sized and freeze them. Chew on one slowly and savor the yummy flavor. Wash it down with a nice cold glass of milk. Craving squashed...waistline still there. Take control.

Most dieticians would say that it is okay to splurge on something you eat once in a while, as long as you don't do it regularly. If you really crave something, and keep trying to eat other foods, you will eat more and more in an attempt to satisfy that craving, so in that case it is better to give in to that craving as long as you get back on your diet after that.

Go get one. Cut it in 4ths and just eat that 1/4 of it. It will soothe your craving and you can go on.
Also, when you eat it, it might not even taste good because you have been dieting. I've notice that it will taste like a coating of lard on the roof of my mouth when I haven't had that sort of stuff for awhile.

WOW! I've been doing the same! I have been cutting my calories and only eat 1600 calories a day!
Last night my mom took me to Kyoto Bowl(Japaneese food. Really good!) and I ordered a Teryaki Chiken bowl. I was faced with a dicesion...eat the chicken that tastes sooooooooooooo good or don't eat it. I was in a tough spot......then I forced my self not to eat it. You have the same problem like me! You should try really hard and push your self to not eat certain things. That way the more you push yourself the better you'll get at it! Good Luck!

GO FOR IT!! Satisfy your craving. Then go back to counting calories tomorrow. And continue to count calories for at least two months.

Somebody told me once to eat burnt popcorn or toast. The charcoal is supposed to stop cravings. Personally, I usually just give in!

Just because you're on a strict diet, unless you're under a doc's orders not to do it, don't deprive yourself of everything. Indulge at least one time per week, and then get "back on the wagon".
