Millions if you are good enough.

Not even a good living if you aren't

As an amateur you make nothing, hence the word amateur. As a pro you will start out with a hundred or more a round, depending on where you are and who manages you. You will usually get a few 4 round fights to start and then move up to 6 then 8. If you are good you can make a lot but it all depends again on your management. Keep in mind that a lot of boxers have other jobs to make ends meet.

As far as how much you can make, a very good world class boxer who also has a good personality, looks and style that are appealing to fans and promoters can makes 10's of millions a year. That is very much the exception though. I would guess that more than 99% of professional boxers don't make enough to live comfortably on, and have regular jobs in addition to their boxing careers. I know a guy who was a good professional. He's fought some name fighters like Sharmba Mitchell. He was actualy on the show "The Contender" I've seen him fight on HBO and ESPN. He didn't make all that much and had a regular job in addition to his boxing career. He might have made $100,000 in his best year.

Boxing is a very difficult sport to be successful in.. Making it big takes a lot more than just being a good boxer.
