Your tag renewal notice would go to the address the DMV has on file for your tags. Of course when you move you tell them your new address. No, a change of address doesn't cost money. Even if you don't get notice, you still have to renew the tags when the time comes. When you do they will ask "Is your address still xxxxxx?" so you can make corrections then. Just LOOK at the sticker for the expiration date. If you didn't get the notice, just bring your current registration and proof of insurance with.

DMV sends renewel notices to the address on your car registration. There is a form you are supposed to fill out at the DMV if you change your address. Costs money of course, doesn't everything?
