This has happened to me before and I get very annoyed with it. I do not know why people cannot leave a simple messages when there is a voicemail. Instead of leaving messages, they keep calling, calling, and calling several times. Is this considered rude or disrespectful?

It is beyond rude, it is PSYCHO! It is NOT OK to do this. Many people such as myself don't answer the phone for a reason, so I'd need a pretty good reason(message) to call that person back. A lot of times I am just screening the call because I don't recognize the number. If someone really needs to get a hold of you, they should leave a message. Plus, a message tells you what the call was about, it's significance, and if I really need to call back right away or not. It's not just etiquette, it's common sense people!

Ya... I'd call once and not leave a message. If I don't hear back within an hour or two I might call back and leave a message/text. It is very rude to ring some one off the hook though. Some times people just can't get to there phones.

I generally don't leave messages for people unless it's someone I don't talk to often or someone I don't know. If it's just calling one of my friends for whatever reason, I'm not going to leave a message because it'll have my name on the call. What would I say in a message anyways, "Hey its david give me a call when you get this". Waste my time and theirs, when they can just see.. "oh David called, I'll call him back".

But calling many times repetitively isn't very polite under most circumstances. Maybe if it's an emergency or something.

I consider it rude and stupid. Some say they hate leaving voicemails, but that's the whole point of the voicemail system. I just think they call and call until you get so irritated and pick up

Yeah, I think its rude. Its really not that hard to leave a message, and the person obviously cannot answer your call.

I don't think its rude really. Some people just don't like to talk on an answering machine. If they want to talk to you though it would be smart to leave a message and I think they would space out their calls rathering just calling over and over.

It sounds such as you're being particularly unfair on your pal, who needless to say cared approximately your father a great deal. particularly than ward off your pal, why do no longer the two one in all you manage to celebration and remember each and every of the sturdy issues approximately your father on an analogous time as he replaced into alive? it must be the main suitable situation for the two one in all you. yet to shun her because of the fact she needless to say needs to talk approximately your father's dying is basically cruel. sturdy success.

How rude!

I'm old enough to remember the introduction of color TV, and even *I* know how to leave voicemail!

Sheeesh!

it is annoying , but don't see it rude , because the attitude of each person , differs from to another , just ask them "why they didn't leave a msg , and listen from them first".
