Yeah, that's tough. You get bacteria and other particles in the "crypts" of the tonsils. Gargle with an approved dental solution of hydrogen peroxide. Despite what doctors may tell you this could be yeast. Go to a health food store and get some sort of bowell cleanser which helps to eliminate candida albacans. Take probiotics. Good luck.

This is not something that's routinely done. You can certainly gargle mouth wash. But there is a viral infection that affects tonsils causing what is medically referred to as crypts and a doctor will use a medi-tip a long q-tip to remove pus there. Don't try this at home.
