If you want something that really fills you up, try split pea soup. It's very good, very hearty, lots of proteins and no meat.
Another great one is french onion soup. There are several recipes for this, but the one you want will be meatless and begin by frying up a mess of onions until they are carmelized. To serve the soup, you put a piece of toast in the microwave and melt a slab of cheese on top, then float that on top of the soup.
Another hearty soup is cream of potato. It's thick, you can either smuck up the potatoes until they are totally blended into the soup, or leave large chunks of potato in the soup. It's good both ways.
Do you need recipes or do you have a recipe book or can you google up recipes, but you're just looking for suggestions right now?
A soup supper is really great on a cold day!

Vegetable soup is the easiest. All you'll need is tomato sauce, water, the vegetables you want in there (usually green beans, corn, etc.) and whatever condiments/seasonings (i.e. salt, pepper).
