Yes, I have a dog. She is not a regular dog, but a super dog. Her name is Mae and she is a beagle. Beagles are very smart, yet stubborn. I would like to tell you how smart my Mae is.
Mae learned at an early age how to get in the trash can only when her owners were not home. So, to fix that we instilled a new cabinet in our kitchen with a slide out trash bin. This worked for a few weeks, and then Mae learned to open the cabinet door to get in the trash. The cabinet door now has a locking latch on it.
Mae is also a great climber, she can climb on to a kitchen chair to the kitchen table, and clean any plate left unattended. Just last New Years Eve, Mae ate a whole beef summer sausage. Even if you remember to push in all the chairs at the table, Mae still can figure it out. Mae just climbs on her dog food bin and jumps to the table from there.
Oh, and one last thing that Mae learned was how to get into the refrigerator. Yes, you read it right. See, Mae learned that if she would paw at the fridge door long enough, it will eventual open. We now have a baby lock on our fridge. However, last week Mae had a beef roast due to her owners forgetting to lock the fridge before going to work.
So you see a dog is a great pet, there is never a dull moment. Just lots of messes, food stealing and love!

Yes I have a dog and I plan to have one till the day I leave this earth!!
All the dogs I have ever had give me unconditional love. I can yell at them for making a mess and minutes later they come back and love me just as much. I have had many dogs over the years and they all have there own personality. I only have one dog [a beagle] and she has very selective hearing but I still love her. I have had all kinds, sizes, breads.strays and mutts and have had luck with most of them.
When my friends wanted get rid of a dog they would say ''lets give it to Tom-the only thing they die of at his house is old age!''.

Sure do, a Bichon named Lily and a Boxer named Rusty. Rusty wags his tail so fast his body goes sideways...we also call him Sidewinder. Lily gets groomed in the Winter, and shaved in the Summer...looks like an entirely different dog when she is shaved...we call her Lawrence - it's like having two dogs for the price of one!

One year old male Beagle named Dakota, I love him to death. he is just great. He behaves like an angel when I am not home. He loves to cuddle and he even sleeps in my bed and doesn't move all night. He cheers me up when I am sad. He does whatever he can to please me. His sweet brown eyes are so irresistible! He is friendly with everyone too! I also have a two year old female Airedale Terrier, I rescued her about 2 months ago. She has a few problems we are trying to deal with, but she can be a sweetie when she wants to be. She is also the most beautiful Airedale I have ever seen and I have had 5 of my own. She loves to attack food, the garbage, she tries to sneak out, barks constantly, jumps up, refuses to come when called, refuses to eat out of her dish-she must dump her dish over on the floor before she will eat it. But overall I still like her and am very happy I rescued her! We are slowing working on behavior training!
