My partner has recently been diagnosed as having Fibromyalgia,
I'm sure that many people suffer from this - can anyone give me any feedback on this?

Fibromynalgia is diagnosed by ruling out other things. It is associated by fatigue and pain and a lot of people do not understand the pain. A simple touch on your arm can hurt. B-12 patches have been known to help a bit. When people look healthy a lot of people are ignorant about the disease because pain is not visible. Try to be supportive without challenging. It is very kind of you to take the time to inquire about the disease. Perhaps you could try a support line as well to learn more about this condition. If you search the name you also come up with a lot more information. May all work out for both of you!!!

Diagnosed over fifteen years ago with chronic Fibromyalgia. There are good days, bad days and worse days. Some days functioning is not hard and I get around OK. Then there are the days it hurts to move but I push on. There will be days that your partner may not even be able to get out of bed. Try and be patient this is a quirky disease. Believe it or not until recently most people including many medical professionals assumed it was psychosomatic. When I was diagnosed some of the other physicians I had said it was just hypochondria or laziness. Good Luck. Look me up if you need someone to talk to. There may be a support group in your area. Check around.

Sorry. Haven't experienced this myself but have known some people with it. Try the link below. It's a google search for the symptoms. Some of the sites are full of useful info.
