I have some proof for you that the power of intention and thought manifestation is real. Six months ago I put fourth the intention to go back to college to get a four year degree without having to pay for it, today I was given such an offer without any effort on my own. My question : Do you think it was luck, the power of intention, or divine intervention?
My personal beliefs attribute this gift to the power of intention (which i could also call the will of god).

i randomly came upon an old friend whose company works with the college - they said that they need engineers so badly that both institutions were working together to get more people into the field

the only effort that i put fourth was deciding that i wanted to go to college, i did minimal research, then got away from it but held the thought that i do want to go back to school - i decided to let the universe decide how since i could come up with no way on my own

Maybe you could give some more details. How did you get your education paid for? I think this is important to this question. We are to take you on your word that there was no effort on your part.

Intention is one of two things... self-fulfilling. (you make it happen.) or paranormal... (your will communicates to a higher power and the higher power makes it happen.)

But I believe that it's you that caused it. If you truly intend to have something happen, then the thought inhabits your every move. It's in the back of your mind. Therefore it's included in every calculation your mind makes, every filter that each decision goes through is affected by your intention. It's a matter of statistics actually.

I believe in luck a lot more than intention. How often do people feel that they will win when they enter a casino but leave broke? Intention is meaningless. You are a beneficiary of good luck. Some people are luckier than others.

you know, i'm one of those people that thinks SOME things were ment to happen in a person's life. For example, falling off a bike, falling in love, having sex, having kids, etc. However, sometimes, I don't think the will of God has to do with many things but instead by our actions or lack of actions. Now, yes, i do believe in God but, i find it hard to believe that everythign that happens to us is because He wanted them to happen to us. I think he might give us options and choices as various points of our lives and depending what we choose, He lets the actions just play out on their own. You circumstance, perhaps there was a little intervention on a spiritual level but the fact that it was COMPLETELY free as you said sounds to me as more than just a spiritual cause but instead as added luck as well. You might want to share your secret to a free education to all the people who want one but cant afford it now or ever.

Power of intention. It is entirely possible to manifest your own life, your future, your desires.

You should watch the movie/read the book, 'What the Bleep Do You Know'.

Then you should watch 'The Secret'

are you aware that you are espousing propaganda for the new age movement or is this a new contemplative form that uses old thinking to create a disguise for truth.

Good for you!

You could also call it "self-fulfilling prophesy." When you plan to do something, you can often find the way to do it.

Any of the above, I think you would be the best judge of the truth.
