DON'T EVER buy a dog from a pet store! Try your local animal shelter, even if they don't have a Yorkie they should have other "toy sized" dogs to choose from. Don't underestimate the love and devotion a plain ol' mutt can give you!

Try visiting the Yorkie Club for the United States (or whatever country you live in). Make sure that you review the reputable breeder guidelines and all the breed information. This dog is not a breed for everyone and hundreds, if not thousands, ar dumped at shelters and into breed rescue each year.

Pet store dogs that do not sell are either

1. Given to the Humane Society
2. Given to a rescue group
3. Returned to the puppy mill (where they may be killed or turned into mill breeders)

If you buy a pet store dog, you are not rescuing it. You are paying the pet store money to buy another poor dog from a puppy mill.

In short, buy only from a reputable and ethical breeder. A pet quality dog from a responsible breeder won't cost more and will be a better quality dog. : )

Edit: Sent to me by the asker: "Message: i really dont appreciate all the "book" that you wrote on my question. i was looking for a simple answer like if you knew of a breeder. you wasted your time writing all that because it was rude, and also im not a girl who would use it as a accesory. thanks for wasting your time on me. "

What is wrong with you? You contact me via PM to tell me that you are too lazy to read the information I gave you? It's rude to teach you how to look for a responsible breeder? Shame on you. If you can't take the time on finding a responsible breeder, then you shouldn't have a dog. You ask over and over about Yorkies yet you refuse to do any research on the breed on your own. You ask the same question over and over again. You are 15 and haven't even convinced your parents that you should have one. You are too immature to have a dog, please stop wasting our time.

Pet stores that buy from Puppy Mills (which is more than 75% of Pet Stores) will return the pup(s) to the Puppy Mill (Puppy Farm) if they can not sell them for a decent profit.

I have read that SOME kill them but I doubt that because they wouldn't be able to make money from a dead dog.

www.petfinder.com
adopt a homeless pet,

petstores if they don't sell a puppy then that puppy sits there and sits there or get shipped of to another petstore. Petstores are bad!! they support puppy mills and Back yard breeders!!!

good luck and try to adopt before buying!
