I have tried to do my hair at home, and I get dyeing just straight blond. Even though I used the same color each time, it came getting stranger and stranger.
Finally the whole thing turned permanently green until it grew out!
Now, I dont' want to do just the roots. Heard about that alternative, but sometimes the whole thing is really to dull, or brassy, and mixed up and needs fixing.

use vegetable dye its cool and hot!

color cant lift color. the best thing to do is touch up the roots .or go see a professional you probably have different bands of color that might need to be fixed don't try to fix it yourself or you might end up with a bigger mess try some highlites of different blond colors would be my suggestion good luck
