Humans eat dozens of different animal and fish species. Why people get so emotional over eating dogs? I had dog when I was visitng China and it was so delicious. Too bad it can't be found in the U.S.

its just wrong, dogs and cats are not to be eaten, they are a demesticated family pets!!!

The reason you don’t see dog, bear, deer, horse, etc., meat is because they taste like hell compared to beef (cows). Chicken is one of the few birds that taste good. Turkey is the next best and nothing in 3rd place.
You see all the weird meats in underdeveloped countries where beef would be a luxury, or religious taboo. IOW, you're going to have a hell of a time getting Lobster and Poodle. Possum and Poodle, probably so.
When meat is cheap they smoked and add spiced to cover up their terrible flavor.

People are so emotional over eating dog in the USA because we keep them as pets. How would you like it if your lab, poddle, or any other dog was found on someone elses plate as dinner. We cheriest are pets and love them we wouldnt want them to be on someone elses plates.

It's just so cruel!! I would throw up if I saw dog in a market...my dog is just too nice!! Also dogs really have a personality...fish don't. Plus, I dont eat fish...

I agree with you. I think because SOME Americans think they are better than people in other countries.
I'm sure people in India think we are barbarians for eating cows. An animal some of them refuse to eat.
Unlike you I am not going to eat dog meat. But I don't get the craziness.
Just like when people feed large snakes rabbits. That rabbit want it live just as much as that puppy or kitten.

You know what, it's wrong. Back then, people did not even eat dogs, they ate moose, and deer. So get over it ok. I am so mad at all these smartelecks postin stupid questions about what they think.
I don't like eating dogs, thats me. Not you, me. So get over it, and go back to cruel China and eat all the dogs you want. And then, go to www.aspca.com and report your self. You are sick.

do you want to eat your children? people in this country see their dogs and cats almost as human.
they are loved way to much for "normal" people to eat them!

I think people are against eating dog because it's just a new experience for most of them...maybe if they would try it like you had...they would change their opinion!;) I would like to try it too..;)

because in china, they don't usually have dogs for PETS. they're part of our family in the US, smart one. it's like someone frying up your brother. good god.
