Why follow religion and believe in god if god's existence cannot be proven?

You can't say prove he isn't real first.

In court its innocent until proven guilty, not the other way round. You have to prove guilt first.

So I can believe in Santa Clause. It hasn't been proven he doesn't exist.

You could say any wonderful idea is real unless its proven wrong. That isn't very logical is it?

STILL THE RELIGIOUS ARE FOLLOWING SOMETHING UNPROVEN!!!

If a new type of aircraft was built but untested and not proven as been capable of flying, would you get on? Or would you just have faith and hope you don't crash and die? - Its the same thing with God worship!

this is a sturdy question. I consistently attempt to point out transformations in a individual's life (mine or others ) via looking Jesus Christ. it style of feels to artwork extra desirable than scripture. yet, you recognize, some all and sundry is in basic terms so darned enthusiastic approximately what they have self belief their concepts shuts off. and that i direct that athiests, christians, muslims or every person else. it consistently appears like that misdirected pastime is the element that brings with regard to the anger and mean spiritedness. that's in basic terms too undesirable. We christians are as accountable as every person while it is composed of that. permit me say this one element approximately scripture nonetheless, until now I close up. i think of one reason it gets quoted to athiests is It does look to pass all of the accuracy exams. this is traditionally precise. fits up with the non Christian historians of the day, Josephus being between the various. Sorry with regard to the tangent. in basic terms doing what i'm called to do. in case you have been closer i might take you out for a lager. we could have a civil debate. Can't you see from most of your answers?

Ignorance, plain and simple.

The burden of proof is on those who claim something fantastical, i.e. God exists. There is no actual proof.

Scientifically, and philosophically, the correct attitude is skepticism, or 'false until proven true'. They seem to think it's 'true until proven false', which is very gullible and unintelligent.

If you can find evidence and prove that compassion was a natural process brought on by evolution, then you can have a decent argument. Science has no explanation about where compassion came from. Compassion does not give an advantage to the person who has it. Someone who is more compassionate is more likely to sacrifice himself for others, before he has children. This is contrary to evolution. Compassion should have gradually been removed from humanity, not added to it.

GOD proves to us that he exists.

It is all built on faith. You know this to be true when you accept him and sense the change within your inner spirit, soul. Because we all have a soul, energy we are not just empty shells. No mortal can explain why when God enters a persons heart you feel the change. So how could a mortal prove that God does not exist.

God's existance can be proven, look around at the earth and stars. Design implies there must be a designer. you cant see the wind but you can see the effects of the wind. just like you cant see love, but u feel the effects of it and u know its there. Seek and u will find! if u dont believe in God, than ask Him to prove that He is real to u, and I garantee He will!!!

The "science" that you are putting your faith in can't be proven either. In fact there is a huge hole in the possibility of spontaneous life so big that it is unbelievable.... Jim

Faith.

That's all the atheists have in their belief that God is not real, they accept that by faith, since they can't prove their own belief.

Pascal's Wager- Blaise Pascal
"God is or He is not...Let us weigh the gain and the loss in choosing...'God is.' If you gain, you gain all, if you lose, you lose nothing. Wager, then, unhesitatingly, that He is."
