both breeds are great companions and are VERY loyal to their handlers. Notice how i said handlers and now owners. Just because you own the dog doesn't mean you handle the dog. Anyway, in response to the question, yes it is possible to have both breeds. However, you need to understand this, A rottweiler reaches its adult hood about about 24-28 months. A pitbull on the other hand, usually reaches its adulthood about between 18-22 months depending on the dog. This could be an issue if the pitbull you get is a dominant dog or not. Regardless of how you raise them, good or bad, one of them will always be dominant to the other. That is nature. You will NOT take this out of them regardless of how much trainign you give them. You can reduce the dominance issue with proper training but one will ALWAYS be more dominant that the other. ALso, know this, dogs may tolerate eachother but that doesnt mean they like eachother. Just like humans, you could stand to be around a person but not really like the person. Also, both breeds can be hardheaded durign training so it is best to train them individually at first and then move them together when both are at an equal level. I will suggest this very highly, feed them from different bowls for food. Water doesn't really matter but food is a big instigator for fights. If you can, get a kennel for both of them and feed them in their kennels. YOu can get a dual kennel of 8ftx8ftx4ft for about 3-400 dollars. Well worth the money. Toys, make sure there are more than two.... at least 3-4.

It's a really bad idea. Yes, they might get along, but they will then form a pack that you will not be a part of. It's NEVER recommended to get two puppies at the same time. In fact, it's generally recommended that you wait at least a year or two before bringing another puppy into your home.
Decide between the two and then get one from a reputable breeder. These are two very different dogs, so you should be aware of all the issues regarding them and a reputable breeder will be willing to discuss it with you.
Also, these dogs are outlawed in some areas and many people have problems with living next to one. Be prepared to lose friends and to have parents mad at you for bringing this type of dog into their neighborhood. Change their minds by being a responsible owner.
For either one, you need to get the dog into obedience classes as soon as possible. No choke chains, shock collars, or other abusive devices are necessary if you train your dog well. Keep your dog well restrained at home to prevent it from killing other animals outside.
These dogs can make wonderful and beautiful pets, but poor owners and poor breeding ruin it for everyone. Know what you are getting into and don't get one as a status symbol. Good luck to you, I'm sure you'll make the right decision.

You need to realize that dog aggression is a natural tendency in pit bull type breeds. This trait can usually comes up between 18 months and 2 years of age, but can show up earlier or later as well.
Yes, you can get both. But I highly recommend crating them separately when they are not supervised, to avoid coming home to badly injured, dying, or dead dogs.
A male/female pair will be less likely to fight, and have them both fixed to further reduce the chances of aggression.
Be prepared to properly socialize and train both dogs, as both breeds need dominant and assertive owners. I suggest getting one first, and see how things go before getting the other.
I'm the owner of 2 bullys, and a heinz 57....You can email me and I can help answer more questions.

Depending on the puppies, it should work, but make sure that both of them aren't dominant. It's fine if one is, but if both, than you can expect fighting. But they're still dogs, so they'll get along.

Not a bad idea at all, I have had both myself. It does not so much depend on the breed, it is more how they are raised.

more then likly, it's just like children boy and girl they are the same but differant, raised together they are brother and sister. they will fight, but they will also be fine. think of a cat and dog. kitten and puppy raised together, they are fine, but if you put them together when they are older they will fight.
