The risk of getting breast cancer increases with age. For someone who lives to the age of 90, the chances of getting breast cancer is about 14.3% or one in seven during their lifetime.[5] Men can also develop breast cancer, but their risk is less than one in 1000 (see sex and illness). [citation needed] This risk is modified by many different factors. In a very small (~ 5%) proportion of breast cancer cases, there is a strong inherited familial risk.[6]
The probability of breast cancer rises with age but breast cancer tends to be more aggressive when it occurs in younger people. One type of breast cancer that is especially aggressive and disproportionately occurs in younger people is inflammatory breast cancer. It is initially staged as Stage IIIb or Stage IV. It also is unique because it often does not present with a lump so that it often is not detected by mammography or ultrasound. It presents with the signs and symptoms of a breast infection like mastitis.

There is no age limit on cancer. But since a lot of breast cancer is hormone driven anytime after puberty. Even men can get it, although that is rare. That one women in 8 will get breast cancer is at the 90 year old mark. As you age the rate of risk increases. The younger you are the safer you are.

here is some information for you about cancer. In my opinion I would not suggest or recommend conventional treatments, there are alternative approaches that can be taken. Cancer can accrue in the body when nutritionally (malnutrition is the lack of proper Nutrition / Vitamins / Minerals ; inadequate or unbalanced nutrition) the body is not in a condition to defend it's self against free radicals and other cancer causing agents. A nutritionally deficient body that has an acidic PH could support the growth and development of cancers. The body's PH balance is a very important factor to be considered, you want to have more of an alkaline PH, to have a body that is to acidic can be very dangerous. Here is some information for you about health.I suggest a change in diet, drink a lot of clean bottled water (my guess is that this person drinks coffee or soda, these things need to be taken out of the diet for sure and smoking as well) include MINERALS (the sports one is flavored or else i think that there are others that are flavored) AND EFA dietary supplements from a company called American Longevity, phone#1-800-982-3189 2400 Boswell Road, chula vista, California 91914 be careful about the amount of the mineral supplement do not exceed more then one tablespoon a day,Vitamins, the vitamin product that i use is called E 7 (essential seven.) the telephone number is 1(888) 737-7307 i would take only one half of one scoop a day . If you do some study about what exactly it is that all of these different vitamins and minerals PURPOSE INSIDE OUR BODY'S is you will probably figure out that they can help to elevate ALMOST all symptoms of ill health, there is a audio tape about minerals called "dead doctors don't lie" call 1800-982-3189 to order.
http://www.mannatech.com get a DVD from manna-tech called "OUTSIDE THE BOX" BY JEFF ALLEN this DVD will explain to you a lot of information about health and give some very good advice about cancer.
my hope is that you are a saved person, the bible says "we are loved by god with an everlasting love"(Jeremiah 5:8), you can go to http://www.bellevue.org and you can watch sermons live if you want p.s. HOPE I HELPED

If there is a history of breast cancer either side of the family, be virulent from & early age. However haven recently battled this thing myself. Any age. I have seen them at cancercare 30'- 40's. Those 50+ , the no. are like an epidemic. So then screening is vitaul. This disease can be defeated. Most victims do live on but the earlier it is found the better the chances are. Fear is so often the monster that keeps people from seeking help. Any woman dear to you urge them to be tested.
