I'd say I do 85% of my cooking on the stove and in the oven, 10% in my rice cooker, and 5% in my microwave.

Honestly, my microwave is for pop-corn and reheating leftovers. When I make a VERY large meal (Turkey-day or Christmas Eve) I will use the microwave to nuc a veggie or two sometimes.

It is certainly a HANDY tool... but I could survive without it as long as I have a good stove and oven.

I use a stove/oven on a daily basis, mainly because currently we do not have a microwave. Even when we did, I would not use it as much as I would the stove/oven. You just don't get the same result out of a microwave.

I do most of my cooking on the stove top or in the oven. I use the microwave to heat water, reheat left overs, defrost things, and make popcorn. I use both everday.

I cannot live without the microwave. It's easy and convenient. Also, you can do a lot with the microwave that you can also do on the stove (i.e. boil water, scramble eggs).
