Make sure her bedding is very soft to keep her bones from hurting..Give her treats you make from cooking beef liver, and cut it up into little squares..Give her a can of broth, either dhicken or beef broth (with no salt)
I like to sing to my old dogs..they seem to like that..Talk to her about, 'remember when...' and tell her the stories..
Be thankful that your parents were sensitive enough to allow you a week to tell her goodbye..

I will sure be praying for you and yours.. I hope this little poem will help:
May I go now
Don't you think the time is right?
May I say good-bye to pain-filled days
and endless lonely nights?
I've lived my life and done my best,
an example tried to be,
So can I take that step beyond
and set my spirit free?
I didn't want to go at first.
I fought with all my might!
But something seems to draw me now
to a warm and loving light.
I want to go! I really do!
It's difficult to stay.
But I will try as best I can
to live just one more day .
To give you time to care for me
and share your love and fears.
I know you're sad and are afraid
because I see your tears.
I'll not be far, I promise that,
and hope you'll always know
that my spirit will be close to you
wherever you may go.
Thank you so for loving me.
You know I loved you too.
That's why it's hard to say good-bye
and end this life with you.
So hold me now, just one more time,
and let me hear you say,
because you care so much for me,
you'll let me go today.

Awww, I know how you feel. We had to get our German Shepherd put down.
I will pray for you, some things you can do is let her sleep in a bed with you, a human bed. Feed her table scraps, try not to show many emotions, like crying or your dog will pick up that something is wrong.
Good Luck, you are in my prayers.

I am so sorry. But be thankful that you have time to say good-bye.
Spend lots of time with her.Lay down close to her and rub her paws and stroke her face and scratch all the hard to reach places like the chest and arm{leg}pits.Scratch her rear end right above her tail.Massage all her joints and her neck and down her spine but not too hard.Talk to her instead of at her or about her.Give her lots of hugs and kisses.Does she sleep with you?If not then let her.If she has an accident then clean it up without complaint cos she can't help it.
Give her treats like ice cream and table scraps.Make her truly feel special before she goes.

You should treat her extra special, like let her have table scraps, let her sleep in a human bed, just nice things like that. I'd try not to cry, or protray any emotions to make your dog think something is wrong. I feel terribly bad for you. I'll keep your dog in my prayers. Good Luck, and Best Wishes.

Just show her lots of affection and give her some special treats, like sleeping in your bed, or some of her favourite people food (if she can still eat it).

Pet her and cuddle with her, let her sit on the couch with you and just be close. It relaxes a dog when they know that they are loved.

I accept as true with Loki_wolf. in basic terms with the aid of fact an canine growls at a new child does no longer mean that's by surprise an evil toddler eater!! Growling is a organic protection. tutor your infants to depart her on my own if she starts exhibiting signs and indicators of desirous to get far flung from them. in case you're actually not attempting to decide a answer to help the canine, you're searching for validation to do away together with her or positioned her to sleep. If it is your purpose, do no longer examine any added. Senior animals are greater messy and greater stable to handle than animals interior the top of their lives. I also have a 20 year previous cat that makes me loopy yet I nonetheless love her as much as I did whilst she became a pretty kitten. She is gross and pissy yet you would be too in case you have been that previous and had to handle human beings/animals bothering you all day. in case you're particularly finding to enhance the popular of residing on your canine, you're able to commence via taking her to the vet for a senior wellness examine. locate out if she's doing any of this performing out with the aid of wellness issues. you would be able to would desire to speculate in some guidance and contain the entire relatives. infants would desire to tactics to have interplay together with her without threatening her. they'd desire to stay far flung from her whilst she eats and should no longer be feeding her something from their arms. She would possibly no longer in basic terms like the foodstuff you feed her - have you ever regarded on the aspects and examined that it is the main suitable foodstuff you could locate the money for for her? attempt a Senior type - no longer canine Chow or a save type. stable foodstuff could make a great distinction in her existence and average, that's no longer that particularly greater costly. My mom has 2 very great German Shepard's, each and each over 100lbs. They consume an exceedingly intense high quality foodstuff plan and have by no potential taken something from the table or counter. We experienced them to have faith us unconditionally - we are able to take something far flung from them at any time and that they do no longer growl or chew.

Spend time with her and give her lots of love, and if you can, be with her next week and let your face be the last one she sees.

Been there, done that. It's like losing a part of yourself. Make her a hamburger, let her sleep on your bed, and spend your days with her.

I'm so sorry.
