They're not. They're persecuted for their ethnicity. For 6,000 years they've existed as a relatively closed tribe (or group of tribes) with no particular interest in adding to existing numbers. This insularlity has rarely been regarded with much other than suspicion; combine this with a determination to practise their faith in all circumstances, in a language that existed before Latin and ancient Greek and still does, and the paranoia and xenophobia of those in whose country they seek refuge is going to come out. By the 21st century we should have got over this sort of thing. Live and let live.

For those buffoons who say that all religions are persecuted - NO other religion has been persecuted like the Jews. And in recent history, most of the persecuting of MOST other religions has been done by Christians. The Crusades, the Inquisition, the driving of Jews from Europe - it's a simple historical fact. The least entitled group to claim persecution is the Christians - and it's not surprising to hear them bleating about how hard done by they are here.

Why? Two thousand years of the Catholic Church saying they killed Jesus. The Church, a few years back, said, it wasn't the Jews, but the Romans. However, alot still believe the Jews did it. After two thousand years-it is hard to change a story.

Also, thruout the centuries the Jews have been educated, and were able to get better positions in life. The Church said that money could not be handled by members to give loans-such as to run a bank that charged interest. So, this left the Jews to handle the money-the Church had no ban on this. Alot of Christians resented that the Jews got rich giving them this service.

And, I could go on and on -----on the Christian prejudices and bigotry.

Also, Evangelical Christians dislike Jews who will not accept their religion and belief in Jesus.

To be clear, I am Christian. The children of Israel(called Jews today but really made up of all 12 tribes of Israel) are God's chosen people to deliver/share his Word to the world. The Messiah (Jesus) also came down through this people. The continuous persecution of these people down through the ages has been the work of Satan, including the current attempts by radical Muslims to completely wipe them out and the work of the Hitler/Nazis to do so as well. Their continued existence through all of the persecution and several annihilation attempts is nothing but a miracle. Just goes to show Who is in charge.

Because people are idiots. I love the Jews. Every other religion thinks they are correct and have no tolerance for anyone else. I don't hear people griping about the Buddists and they don't believe that Jesus has already made an appearance as the messiah...many religions don't.

Imagine..people actually kill over their religion. If it wasn't so sad it would be funny.

Jesus was a Jew and look what happened to Him! They are Gods people by promise. They just missed the boat, that is why you and I can come to the Father now.
