well, chewing gum aids in stress relief, as the chomping down on it relieves tension in the jaw area, kinda like when you are tense or angry and you flex your jaw muscles , or grit your teeth.

I chew gum in pressure situations like test because if I dont I tend to grind my teeth.

It is good to be relaxed for a test, if gum does that for you, do it.

it helps me be less nervous and I had to buy like 3 packs of Winterfresh gum before I took my Standards Of Learning tests and chewed like 3 peices of gum during one of the test.

I'm not sure. I do know that when chewing gum while testing it always helped me concentrate. All my teachers allowed it because they felt it helped us test.

only if the person chewing the gum is kinda smacking their lips together and making a noise when they chew. if they are quiet and discreet, i guess it wouldn't affect anyone
