My pittie is going thru a shed right now.... I just use my swiffer for daily and bissell about once a week... it works great! But, it does depend on your floor... thick or thin carpet?

I have 2 cats and a dog, and a Miele "Cat and dog" hoover. It's brilliant - much better than the Dyson I used to have. Before that I went through a Hoover, an LG, and a Panasonic, in less than 2 years! The Miele is the only one to have lasted the pace, so, although it does cost around $450, it is well worth it, as you will never need to replace it. Classy German engineering!
