Wow, this is craziness. Do you people not remember k-6 schooling. The moon does not spin on it's axis like the earth does. The dark side is always dark, and the light side always light. But our position relative to the dark and light side changes with the lunar cycle. You know what a crescent moon is right? Well, if you look close enough and hard enough you will see that the moon isn't actually a floating crescent, it's just that we can only see a sliver of the light side and the rest of the moon is the dark side. Eventually the lunar cycle will give us the view of a completely dark moon, just like once a cycle we get a completely (full moon) light side view of the moon.

We have to see things as they are through the hearing process of someone who has all ready seen. We can not accept thing through our limited sense perception. The Vedic knowledge tells us everything possible there is to know about all of the universes and the creation and even the spiritual world. The moon is a heavenly planet and we can not see what is there by our blunt senses. Actually the astronaut never went to the moon and scientists proved it. Why is the flag flying in the picture with the astronauts. There is so much info about it. if you would like a vast amount of true information about all the universes go to http://www.stephen-knapp.com and get the book How the Universe was created and our propose in it.

The moon *does* rotate on its axis, but it revolves around the earth at the same speed, therefore the other side of the moon is never facing the earth.

Last I knew it was being used for people in the Witness Protection Program and former guests on the Jerry Springer show. They threw rocks at the Apollo spacecrafts.

Very rude.

Go to the NASA website, they have lots of pictures of the other side of the moon from the Apollo moon missions that circled the moon. No, it's not the physical location of Heaven. We can't see it because the moon's orbit and lunar days are such that the side of the moon that we do see is always facing the Earth.

We DO see it. There is always a dark side to the moon, but it changes, just the like the dark side of the earth does. So unless Heaven moves around, no, that's not where Heaven is.

An alien base maybe. Not Heaven.
We never see it because it rotates once on it's axis per revolution around Earth.
Picture yourself looking at a chair about 5 feet away from you. Then you walk one complete circle around the chair never taking your eyes off of it. You rotated once and the chair always saw your face, never the back of your head. That's the principle.
Oh, BTW, it is even more pockmarked with craters than the side we see. It's been photographed by probes. And it gets just as much sunshine as the visible side.

Are you perhaps thinking about the side of the moon that is invisible from earth? There is nothing mysterious about it:

What is perhaps bizarre about the moon is how it revolves around its axis and around the earth in the same amount of time, thus showing only the same face to observers of earth.

Heaven is not a physical place in this world.
