You can simply feel our pulse and count.

The carotid pulse's the strongest, just a little to the side of your throat or adam's apple (if u're a guy)

Hope this helps=)

heres what to do.
1. Stand infront of a clock with a second hand.
2. Find your pulse. You can either do this by putting your index and middle finger on the inside of your wrist, or put these fingers on the side of your neck about 1/2 way up. Can you feel the beating.
3. Look at the clock and look where the second hand is.
4. Start counting the beats until the second hand makes one full rotation. The number of beats you counted in one minute is your heart rate (or pulse) in beats per minute.
5. If you can't find your pulse...
most CVS's or Walgreens have a blood pressure machine that also takes your pulse for free. Just go to one of those stores and ask where and if they have it!

Take your pulse, the pulse reflects heart beat, take your pulse for 20 seconds then multiply by 3, that gives you your heart rate for one minute.

Then walk or exersise for five minutes, check your pulse again using the same method. This would be an indication of heart rate at medium exersise.

Then rum for five minutes and check your heart rate again using the same methood. This would be an indication of heart rate at high exersise.

You can check your own heart rate easily at your wrists.

firstly, you need to know that a heartrate is measured in BPM (beats per minute). feel for your pulse, and count how many beats you feel in a 10 second period, and multiply that number by 6. For example, if you feel 10 beats in a 10 second period, then your heartrate would be 60 BPM

find your pulse on the outer part of the wrist when your palm is facing up.... count the number of beats in 6 seconds and then multiply that by 10 (hint: do not use your thumb as it has its own beat,)

place your pointer and middle finger on your wrist below your thumb and feel for a pulse, count for a minute the number of pulses..that is your resting heart rate, assuming you are sitting still and haven't had any caffeine or done any exercise.
