How is tapeworm infection treated?
Treatment for both animals and humans is simple and very effective. A prescription drug called praziquantel is given, either orally or by injection (pets only). The medication causes the tapeworm to dissolve within the intestines. Since the worm is usually digested before it passes, it may not be visible in your dog's stool. The drugs are generally well-tolerated.

You will need an Anti-helminth. Are you sure its a tapeworm?
Go to the doctor; they may need a sample, and of course may perform a Scotch Tape prep to check for proglottids. They sort of look like little pieces of rice in the sample.

You would need an antiparasitic not an antibiotic. The medicine you need would be given by a doctor and only after tests to be sure the parasite was a tape worm.

Tapeworm for a animal or human. I think you will have to go to the doctor for that.
