First of all, hopefully you are not travelling alone. If you are, you may have a tough time getting around. If you're travelling alone, don't be afraid to ask airline personnell (they can be identified by uniform) or security officials about where you need to go to get on the plane. When you check in, staff will ask you for information, and they will take your luggage. Now, venture to the security checkpoint. Carefully read all signs and obey instructions given by security staff. If you are unsure, ask them, do not hesitate because it may cause more trouble. Now find your gate. After you arrive at your gate, which is the place where you get on the plane, you will probably have some waiting time. You can just take a seat and wait. If you are sure that there is plenty of time before departure, you may wander off and get a snack, just take everything with you. Be certain to return to the gate a half hour before the departure time on your ticket. At this time, patiently wait for announcements about boarding. These will begin about a half an hour before departure. Have your ticket, photo id, and passport ready. Your row or boarding group will be announced, and it will say this on your ticket. Walk up, present them with everything, and walk down the 'jetway' on the the plane. At the end of the long tunnel, flight attendants will greet you, and direct you toward your seat. On your ticket, the number is the row, and the letter is the column, so to speak. Stow any carryon baggage you have above you, or below the seat in front of you. After everyone has boarded, the door will be sealed, and the plane will begin to move. It will then travel to the runway, but it may have to wait in line before takeoff. You will be asked to turn off all electronic devices at this time, because they can cause interference with the operation of the plane.

Takeoff is quick and painless, if you do not look out the window. Your plane will line up on the runway, then suddenly, it will become loud and you will be off the ground. The feeling may be kind of strange for a first timer, but do everything you can to look straight at the seat in front of you. If you look outside, you will become very nervous. After a while, the noise will recede to a low drone, and the plane will level off. Above you, you will notice a seatbelt sign, which directs when you must be buckled. After takeoff, this sign will circulate on and off depending on turbulence levels. If it turns off, you may remove your seatbelt, and you may also travel to the lavatory. You may want to get up every few hours to stretch (assuming you're travelling from the US, if coming from UK, you don't have to get up at all). After takeoff, settle in and read, listen to music, or watch the onboard movie (only if coming from the US, coming from UK flight will be too short). You can use electronics again. You might have your own screen. Periodically, drinks and snacks will be served, and you may also be served a meal if you are coming from the US.

Many hours later (if coming from the US), or just 50 minutes later (if you are coming from the UK) you will hear that landing is coming up. The captain will announce how soon landing will be, and the seatbelt sign will be turned on if it is not already. Buckle your seatbelt, stow your traytable, and put your seat upright. You can continue to read, but make sure that you are not using any electronics. If you are watching out the window, you will quickly see the ground come up out of nowhere, and suddenly, your plane will be wheeling down the runway.

As much as you will be tempted to stand up, stay seated until the seatbelt sign is turned off, which may be up to 15 minutes after landing. The plane will taxi to a gate at the new airport, and will attach to the jetway. When it is safe to stand, you can gather all of your belongings, and walk straight off the plane.

You may feel confused in the airport, but follow all signs toward immigration. You will be processed, and then you can continue on. Now follow all signs to baggage claim. When you arrive at the carousel, squeeze your way into the crowd, and look for your bag. It may take awhile, but sure enough, your bag should come bumping out. THE ABOVE TWO STEPS MAY BE SWITCHED AT SOME AIRPORTS, WHERE YOU HAVE TO GET YOUR BAG BEFORE IMMIGRATION.

At this time, you are free to enjoy Ireland! Have an amazing time.

I have a fear of flying but it has never stopped me going anywhere. Just remember that the pilot doesn't want to crash and flying is the safest way to travel.
As for percentages; you have got more chance of being kicked to death by a donkey than dying in a plane crash.
Dublin is only and hour flight so it will soon be over, remember turbulence is NOT dangerous, it's like going over bumps on a road.

Have a drink, try and relax and think about the holiday you are going to have when you get there. Good luck

I have flown a lot lately and flying makes me nervous as well, something thst really helped me on the last flight last month was this website where you can actually see planes taking off and landing and gets you have the idea of what to expect, some clips are really amazing and have helped me visualize and psychologically get ready to fly.
you can also choose clips of different airlines and airlplane models so you can see what the plane may look like. I am sure you will enjoy the flight. I do love airplanes!

Do you rather should be chatted up via a participant at a occasion? do no longer overlook, clever boys would properly be scared and shy! A boy who you think of is gorgeous would sense like women are not attracted to him. perhaps the guy next to you in school is in love with you yet he looks like too a great number of a nerd to assert something. don't be afraid to make the 1st circulate. Come arranged with a pair of stable jokes to gentle over awkward patches in a verbal substitute and the boy would be great grateful. and that i understand which you in all probability wish you're able to greater like the skanks on your college that get each and all the attention, yet in basic terms think of with reference to the destiny once you would be a doctor/archaeologist/engineer/professor and that they would be working a money sign in at a Dairy Queen. the the remainder of your existence is the type of long quantity of time whilst in comparison with the subsequent 2 years. So shop being a nerd and be pleased with your self! And for the checklist, i think of you're fantastically attractive. and likewise, i'm head over heels in love with a attractive warm nerd and we could no longer be happier.
