This objective can be honorable. Many of these religions have innumerable things in common yet they concentrate on the differances. This happens because the accountability doctrines are routinely ignored because poor teachers deliberayely do not teach them. With them it is a matter of self preservation. It is therefor more profitable to separate their own people not only from the truth but other people in general lest they discover the truth and leave their flock of gullible sheep.

So then how does one go about enlightening the sheep. Education about the accountability doctrines (for Christians it is Mat. 18 and Epistles to TIM)
These detestable teachers will fight this but all scripture is on your side as far as preaching intolerance or aggression.
The web prvides and excellent way of getting the word out.

I would steer claer of asking questions that arouse the fear of one world religion because that is prophesied as one of Satan's tricks and very likely will be. I knoiw I suspected that when I read your question. What can be safely advocated from an honorable person is a method of communicating things all lovers of God agree on and a place where problems with the differances can be discussed safely and freely, and perhaps a publication that could be circulated reporting progress to all free of charge that would take great pains not to be offensive.
What we need is a method of promoting both individuality as well as purity without offending others. This is an objective in all religious scripture if you really read and understand it, the idea of paying a tax for religious freedom is not gonna fly but maybe Muslims can decide to let that idea slide in order to promote a no killing Muslims in large quantities posture.

I do not believe we will ever see any form of compromise in regards to Christianity, because we believe it all started with Christ and no one will ever change that, Christianity is open to all that want to follow Christs teachings. As far as the Muslims and Jews are concerned they will have to be the ones to compromise and I do not see that happening to soon, so as far as one common religion coming together I don't think that will ever happen at least not in our life time.

So I don't think you're looking for my input, but I'll give it anyway, because I don't want all religions to compromise and come to a common religion. I just think that we should be able to talk about what we believe without fear of name calling or in some countries, bodily harm and/or death. But I don't know how much respect I could give a person who's willing to compromise what they believe is true.

Now this doesn't mean I believe in relativism or no absolute truth and all that jazz.

I am a Christian and cannot compromise my beliefs. However, I can, and do, live peacefully with people of all religious beliefs. What you are proposing is exactly what will happen in the End Times when the Anti-Christ and his False Prophet set up a one world government - I really don't want to have ANY part in that!

I don't think that having one world religion based on compromise is really the way to peace. There will never be a time when all people agree on something as important and personal as their faith and spiritual practice. I DO think, however, that we already have the best advice on how to live in peace. "Love your neighbor as you love yourself." For me, that means that I need to respect all people regardless of their religion or spiritual beliefs. I don't always do a good job of it, but if we all made this our life goal, I don't see how we could avoid living peacefully.

Blessings!

I'm a conservative Christian and cannot compromise ANY of my Christian principles. Of course, because Jews and Muslims share some of the same sacred scriptures of the Old Testament with Christians, we do have some common ground.

I believe what you are describing would be a world church under the anti-Christ. Because he brings peace many will be fooled. When Jesus comes, and only then, when He sets up the Kingdom of God on earth, will there be true peace, a lasting peace. (lamb to lie down with lion)

I can not, nor will I compromise the Truth, who is Christ Jesus. I can not deny His saving Grace, and that what I know to be True. There will be no peace until the Prince of Peace, & King of Glory comes!

Christianity is incompatible with religion. In religion, one must do things to attain a reward. In Christianity, no one is good enough. That is why salvation is a free gift of God in Christ alone. No sacrifices, no pilgrimages or going door to door.

Compromise? Do what Christians do. Love The Lord God with all your heart, mind and soul and love your neighbor. The law and the prophets are summed up in this. That will bring peace and tolerance.

you as i suppose from ur name is muslim, you talk about common relegion, who will tailor it, it will be just a new extra one. the Islams called people for one word but not one relegion since he instructed muslims to respect other religions and save lifes and proprietaries of their followers. If u look back to the history for the millitary compaigns which where related to Islamic state rather than Islamic religion you note that the christian and jewish were allowed to keep their religion and places and they are offered protection they were not even forced to fight with muslims which was a costume for many invadors until the twentieth century. what is more important and feasible is to accept and understand the others and not to force them to change. most of the wide spread religions known now were related to politics in one day. This added a heritage of violance and bloodshed in the litrature of these religions. we have to understand this. Jesus wouldnt allow Crusades . neither Mohamad would call for attacks on civilians as happens nowaday. I will tell you a story from the islam history to know how state and religion would behave simultaneously. When Muslims immigrate to Almadina they make agreements with tribes over their to live in piece. Two of those tribes were Jewish. those tribes broke the pact by helping Quraish (Mohammeds non Muslim people) to attack him. So Islamic ARMY attacked the castles of them and there was a war. When the muslims get back with prisoners the leader Ali ( this battle hero) take somewhat a different route away from the battlefield. his followers ask him about it. He told them it is not to allow the prisoners to see the dead boddies of their relatives. now when anybody read this story he will be effected only with the fact that Jewish and Muslim were enemies and miss the humanity in his behaivor. because we cant understand that tribal wars and slavery were common at that time and muslims and jewish in this story were one of hundreds cases happened evey day at that time.

Thats not a good idea. That is what the antichirst will try to do. To make "one big happy religion". NO. A common beleief nowadays is that all religions worship the same God. They do not, because they give him differant traits. Christians should speak the truth without comprimise.
