OK check this out i have a friend who has some serious mental issues. almost every year she tells some poor guy shes pregnant now the thing is she had her tubes tied about 14 + years ago. a couple of years ago when she went around telling every one she was pregnant she carried out this little game for way over a year lol finely i got fed up and said joan i thought you should have had that baby 6 months ago well with in 2 days of me saying this she had a so called miscarriage. she has 3 children that she gave up years ago and i think these little lies are distrubing to her kids. the girl has made up every kind of medical condition you can think of.. just to bum money off of people. is there any thing that can be done? i try to avoid her at all cost cause she gets on my last nerve but its kinda hard when she wont take get lost for a answer.
help please any advice will be useful

I guess honesty, brutal honesty, is the best thing, she is one twisted sister, and she needs to address her mental health issues or she could very well lose her mind, crack up completely. Tell her you don't want her around you anymore unless she deals with this, because it hurts you to watch her behave this way. Stick to that plan. She is messed up big time, and needs help, but all you can really do is drop her off at the psychiatrist, the rest is up to them. my heart goes out to you both, God bless.

First off, losing a baby at that stage isn't classed as a miscarriage, she had a stillborn. I doubt she is losing her mind. She lost a child!! That can take a major toll on a person. I would think she needs to get some therapy to help her out.

Since you try to avoid her, she is not a friend, nor are you. You have a right to set boundaries in your life and if she violates them you can see about a restraining order (depending on your state laws) and/or sue her for harrassment. Do not take her calls or allow her into your home. Just because she is there does not mean you have to allow her in. If she refuses to leave your property, you can call the police and have her charged with tresspassing.
It sounds harsh, but she needs help and not the kind you can give her. In the meantime, you have a right to peace and privacy in your life.
Lying to get money is a crime.... fraud. You could just turn her in.

Bottom line: you can't control her or anything she does. Keep walking away.
The only way she will stop doing this is when she finds out it's not working anymore.
I've got a friend in this category. She tells people she has cancer. But, in her case, she doesn't ask for money. I think it's because she likes the attention, good or bad.

you may want to think about being brutally honest with this friend and get rid of her - what she's doing is not only wrong but it's also ridiculous to make up these kind of stories and then stay fake "pregnant" for over a year - call everything she has done to her attention and how ridiculous it is and tell her either she stops or you walk - end of story

This poor girl does seem to be a few trucks shy of a full convoy. I suggest you get that woman into a mental clinic to be checked over. It seems to me as though she is in need of counseling from a therapist. I hope she gets it before it's too late.

i have a x friend who did the same exact thing. i think she needed a rubber room. well i just pointed out the last tI'me she did this im sick and tired of her lies. and i will not be apart of it. i got caller id and a security camera at my front door. if she called i didnt answer if she knocked on my door i didnt open it, by the way walmart has those cameras for around 40 bucks

Sometimes you got to be mean if you want someone like her to go away. Although it sounds like she's a little unstable so maybe take caution with what you say, make it clear you don't want to be around her anymore... avoid anything that leaves it open for debate.
