Most people will know within a few hours of meeting another person if there is a possibility of it becoming more intimate... if you don't feel that right away don't lead the other person on. Having to let another person know that you don't feel the same way as they do is difficult to say the least, but this let's still be friends line is just insulting. If there isn't chemistry, and you don't want to continue a relationship, then just let it go. How would you feel if the roles were reversed. It would be miserable to try and be around a person that you are attracted to and want more than they can give. I say if it's not a connection, then just move on. Respecting honesty in a person is not par with the course for being rejected... and that is what is happening when you have to let a person know that you are not interested in them in an intimate manner, and want to persue other people. Your right, telling them will cause a rift for a short while and you will just both move on, but don't count on keeping them in your list of friends.

I am just honest with the person. Most men in the over 35 age group are grown ups and can handle and generally appreciate the truth. If they become angry jerks, well then you are better off without them.

Because most me are only looking for 1 thing and that is sex.
There where only 2 guys I found that were willing to be just friends, no strings attached. I am over 60+yrs. and my yahoo personall says I am just looking for friend. You should see what I get. And when you tell them what you are interested in the get all pushed out of shape. They think you are going the same reason they are. Dahhhhh! I don't think so.
As for being Honest they have enough trouble spelling Friendship how can they spell Honest. LOL

Buy a double barrel shotgun and ask who's gettin out a dodge? If they don't get the hint pull the trigger at least you won't feel guilty about their hurt feelings just cos you were honest and don't care about hurting them anymore. Honesty should always be measured with tact - Its the art of being civilised

conversing crimson Floyd, I had the comparable problem you had yet a pair months later I have been given into each and all of the greatness of The Wall and that i like it! however the album that rather took me longest to get into, prevalent, replaced into Aerosmith's Rocks. it incredibly is SUCH an incredible album and returned, a number of my well known songs are there yet there is a few thing approximately it that in basic terms would not look to extra wholesome... BQ: certainly I in basic terms have The Wall and dark side BQ2: unsure, I even have many long solos...

just be honest. the whole "just friends" thing makes 'em mad 'cause it's so overused as a way of telling them to back off (it also makes 'em angry 'cause it ruins their delusions that they're a virile roman god desired by all, but... gotta break some eggs for that omelette, right?) LOL ... and yes, you're right, if they don't respect your honesty and point of view by telling them you're not interested, you DEFINITELY wouldn't wanna waste your time on someone who's only interested in your chin & below

hell if your being honest just that amount of respect of being honest is very respectable so if the guy is a gerk just ignore it cause people should embrace things rather than put up walls.
