What is your definition of "too old"? The only one in my thinking who's too old to get ink is someone who's dead, be it physically or mentally. These decisions should only be made by you, if you think you're too old, then maybe you should re-think your idea a bit more. There are plenty of people out there who are considered "old" and get ink & piercings done. What I say may not affect your feelings on this, but remember...it's 90% permanent. They can be removed, but really, that's so much more expensive than the ink is initially. So if you've got reservations, make sure it's something you'll either be happy with always, or something that you can't see all the time, so you don't get tired of it tomorrow. Just my thoughts.
And, I'm 36 & just got 2 tats done in the last 6 months alone.

You are never too old for anything. Do what you want to do with your body, and dont listen to anyone else but yourself. Just make sure that the tattoo is something you 100% positively want.
I was 31 when I got my first, and 4 months later I have another one. I plan on heaps more. Live life to the fullest I reckon.

No, you are never to old to do anything. You only live once. I saw an 72 year old getting a rose with her husbands name tattooed on her, it was her first tattoo. You are never to old to do mostly anything. And 31 is not old, so live it up while you still can!!!

You'll have the tattoo for the rest of your life... so why would it matter how old you are when you get it?
I'm going to be getting tattooed well into my 30s and possibly 40s... and I'll be explaining my tattoos to my grandkids at age 80... so... no, you're never too old :)

You're absolutely not too old. If you want one, get one! Just be sure of the design and the location on your body before you have it put on. It might be helpful to have it put where it can't be easily seen, if the place you work has rules against visible tattoos. I have a celestial design on the outside of my left ankle, and I absolutely love it. (I'm 27). It doesn't hurt much to get it, and for about 2 weeks after, while it heals, it feels like a sunburn. Also, while it heals, you'll need to care for it to keep it moist and away from direct sunlight so it doesn't fade. If you want ideas, visit your local tattoo parlor for a viewing of what they have. You can also ask for a wash-off design, so you can take one for a trial run and see how you feel about it.

Hey girl, I'm 31 going on 32 in a few weeks, and I'm still getting tattoos!! You are never, ever too old for ink. One time I was in getting one there was this grandma who was getting her grand children's picture on her arm. Granny was hardcore!! ;)
Don't let anyone tell you that being in your thirties is too old for anything!! They do, tell them to go to hell!! You want that tattoo? Go get it!! Become living art!
