Most girls I see now have that stupid lower back tattoo.
Its unoriginal and will look like sh*t in a few year, why bother?

I have had a Celtic Knot on my lower back for ten years now and it looks as though I just got it done yesterday. It all depends on the skill level of the artist, and whether or not you take care of it properly that determines how it will look in a few years. Since you are so concerned about being original, don't get one there, even though putting the tattoo in the right spot determines how good it will look. Some tattoos don't look right simply for the fact that they would look alot better if they had been put somewhere else on the person's body. My friends (male and female!) are not concerned about looking cool when they get their tattoos done; maybe you are jealous?

Why do people get any tattoos anywhere? None of it's original anymore. It's all been done by someone. I like the lower back because it's not noticeable unless you want it to be. You can still go into a job interview looking like a librarian and no one would ever know you're inked. And then when you want to wear the low-ride jeans or the two piece bikini, you can show it off. Plus, because it's on your back, you don't have to look at it all the time. So there's less chance of you getting sick of it.

not every girl gets a tattoo on her lower back. i have a tattoo covering the top of my foot and am working on a full back piece. which, technically is on my lower back as well...
most people with tattoos probably don't care if you like it or not.
and why would the tattoo look bad in a few years? as long as you take care of yourself and your skin they will look just fine.

They just like that area because everyone else has a tattoo there. This matter is related to trends. Just like every girl has to wear Hollister and American Eagle, every girl wants a tattoo in the same area. Uhh......they just can't be unique.

it's what the "media" makes out to be sexy. i agree with you though, lower back tatties are lame... i remember in wedding crashers i think them talking about lower back tattoos as like a bulls eye that guys see that and assume the girl is easy lol...but again i agree with you, very unoriginal

yeah, I do see that a lot nowadays. its just a trend, the main one is the butterfly on the lower back. I think it does look ugly since it 's too unoriginal, but its their choice to hop on the bandwagon. that proves that they just got it to show off and be trendie and they just want guys too look there. Just let them.....

well i don't have a tattoo in that spot but, i find it cute. only people who are not able to wear the clothing to show off that tattoo think it is stupid. and not being original is a stupid excuse not to like it a everybody in their life copied something from somebody rather it was clothing, shoes, etc... my point is stop hating

Alot of tattoo's look good in that spot, its their choice and no one should have to question their choice on tattoo position.

I think its sexy, or atleast when the first few girls I saw with them I thought it was, now its seems to have become a standard. Unfortunatley for those who have them they are now refered to as tramp stamps. I still like them though.
