Some inoculations use what are called "attenuated" vira. Some use dead vira. If you are given an attenuated virus, alive but a weak strain, you will get "pocket" or weakened symptoms of the disease inoculated for.

As with all shots you can have a reaction. Some vacines will cause the body to over-react and cause the body to try to reject it. Tetnus shots are used only after getting some lacerations, cuts or burns to prevent what is Called Lock-Jaw or Tetnus. Take some aspirin or some tylanol and sit and relax. If you tink that your reaction is too extreme go to the ER and let them know what;s hapening. Good luck.

You sure can. You need to go to the Doctor, or if you feel bad enough, you should go to the ER.
