I have been looking to buy a digital camera, but I would like to try and find one that has an instant flash. All the cameras I have found have a delayed flash, and I am curious to know if there is one out there that doesn't do this. Can anyone give me any info on this?

Most point and shoot cameras have a delay between when you press the shutter and the photo actually being recorded. This is because it self focuses, ans self meters for light etc.

Buying a Digital SLR camera can give you back full control. Even using an accessory flash, if I pre-focus and manually meter for light, I get such fast response that I am able to photograph a drop of water in mid air. That should be fast enough for you.

The camera was a Nikon D50

Hope this helps.
