If someone types you something with (.....) behind it, what does that really mean? Especially if the person is of the opposite sex?

for example, after I invited this guy on vacation with me, he wrote me something that said: hey let me know when you go to (state)....I'd like to go hunting out there someday.
What did he mean by the (....)?

It's trying to give emotion to a typed sentence. It's hard to do but putting some like (....) is giving character to what you say I find myself doing it all the time.

It could also mean they don't know exactly what to say....or they're giving you the opportunity to cut them off so they don't have to finsh what they're saying.....I think it could mean alot! So don't over analyize it

It sorta looks like something between a smile and a frown...like the person has no emotion on something...just a guess...either that or they just got braces! LOL

It means that whatever they are saying, they have to much to say afterwards and don't feel like writing the rest. It's just another way of saying etcetera (etc.)

The dots are out of context and it is impossible to know what they meant by it without the rest of the statement.

It's an open ended sentence. They leave the door open for you to say something back. It's really no big deal....

It could mean anything, depending on the context of what they were saying. A boy might say to a girl, 'Would you like to have ..... with me?' And when they fall out, he might say '..... off.'

It means, "And so on". It's a way to show a list continues.

it means that they are not sure or waiting for you to say something....in my opinion it is like the awkward pause in a conversation
