This is the first time I hear that pigs eat wastes... I don't eat pork for religious reasons, I'm Muslim. According to teachings of Islam, pork is unhealthy for many reasons. But regardless, since it's forbidden, I'd not eat it.
I once ordered a beef burger sandwich in an Irish restaurant in Paris, and I told the girl no bacon.. actually we had a conversation about from where we are, from where she is.. so she knew we are Muslims and would not eat it for religious beliefs. When I got my burger, I was not able to take another bite because it smelled so awful. I opened it and there was a bacon on top. another incidence was in London, was a Thai food restaurant and we asked for an appetizer sampler but we asked the waitress to take off any pork on there. She brought the platter, and there was something she called it tuna cake. I love tuna so I started with that, but again the smell was eww
I'm not used to it that's why I find the smell awful. I'm sure it taste good for you because you're used to eat it.

All living entities including plans taking each others excretory products. You know what happened to the water that you flush to the toilet? Everything is recycled. The human and animal take food and produces excretory products. The plants take nitrogenous products and make fruits for human and other animals. In other words human also eat animals waste after being processed by the nature.
It is my opinion that eating any kind of meat is not good for human being. If you could eat a fish, chicken or beef, the pork is not different.

Have you seen what a chicken eats?
Pork was restricted by jews under the guidance of kosher laws. It had nothing to do with what pigs ate. It had everything to do with the lack of refrigeration. Beef and chicken could be kept fresh longer.
So the Kosher laws are nothing more than health codes. But jews kept the laws by putting religious significance to it.

Yes we should consider the animal more than ourselves. Also God doesn't eat meat nor are human beings supposed to. "To What propose is the multitude of your sacrifices unto Me? Saith the Lord: I am full of the burnt offerings of rams, and the fat of fed beasts; and I delight not in the blood of bulls, cows, or of lambs, or of goats, When ye spread froth your hands, I will hide Mine eyes from you: yea, when ye make many prayers, I will not hear, for your hands are full of Blood." Isaiah 1:11,15 "He that killeth an ox is as if he slew a man." Isaiah 11:3 God is one it doesn't matter what religion this is universal truth. There are so many mistranslations in the Bible and most was taken out about Vegetarianism. Well I am not muslim I am A Seventh Day Adventist Christian but lets see what saith The Lord okay, In Leviticus 11 it gives a list of clean and unclean animals, and pork is listed as unclean. Some folks like to take one verse out of context, out of Acts 10 IF YOU WILL READ THE ENTIRE CHAPTER you will find out the clean and unclean that God WAS NOT speaking of food at all, but read the whole thing, I agree pork is not and never has been a clean food, Jesus did eat meat but there were no such thing as the health problems we have now, blood meal for example, you have no idea eating meat what your eating and in Heaven there will be NO killing of any animal for food so IF your planing to live there then God created Adam and Eve vegaterians, so get read for a big change in your life style. Actually pigs forced into mans world are keep in artificial environments to the environment that nature provided for them.
They eat the only foods available to them which is what a man
gave them to eat, with their only other option being starvation.
When you observe wild pigs in their natural environment they
live in a substantially differ ant manner.
Now concerning eating pig flesh I would never recommend that
to anyone regardless of their personal religious choice, just
because it is not healthy to you or the pig.

You're obviously not Cuban, or attended a Cuban Nochebuena. But that's okay.
I have one scripture for you, since you brought up this question in the "religion" category. Romans 14:3 says "Let not him who eats look down on or despise him who abstains, and let not him who abstains criticize and pass judgment on him who eats; for God has accepted and welcomed him." Every food is okay too eat, it may not be the best choice of food, but it's okay whether you eat it or not.

How can someone eat ANY animal flesh? *ugh!!* Or worst yet, eat bird embryos? Disgusting!!
Don't get me wrong, I appreciate all the slaughter so I don't have to eat the meat to get a new leather jacket. But it really grosses me out to see people eating other animals. ESPECIALLY if it still looks like an animal! My gods! A chicken leg is STILL someone's LEG! Put that down or go somewhere I don't have to see you doing that!
*nearly faints from the thought*
