No. Actually baking soda is good for your teeth. It helps keep it clean and bright. It would be wise to use a fluoride rinse afterwords if you are only going to use baking soda alone and don't forget to floss daily to get the food and plaque hiding in between the teeth.

Yes, you should limit its use to 2-3 times per week. More than that and you risk scratching the outer layer of enamel on your teeth, which can lead to decay problems. It's a case of too much of a good thing. It is an excellent cleaner and makes your breath smell great, but it must be used sparingly.

Not that I'm aware of. I've always heard of using it as a toothpaste stand-in. However your dentist might freak at the lack of flouride.
