You are nothing but a spoiled brat. What is your problem, did someone cause your tiara to fall off the top of your hard head? Shame on you for your comments. Be glad that you have parents who love and care about you. I just finished watching a movie of children in Ethiopia who are starving to death. Those poor mothers have nothing left to give. They must try and comfort their dying babies although they themselves are too weak to even stand. That is just how powerful the love of a parent is. Here you are with all the comforts in life including a computer to sit here making rude comments. Tonight when you go to sleep please think about the starving and dying children that would be glad to be in your place..............i pray that God softens your heart

You didn't say what they have ruined, but as a parent I say that we try to protect our children and see things before they happen or may happen. We have the experience to help and give advice, I know that when you are young you think parents don't know a thing, that we are old fashion or out dated, but we're not. Your friends are number one and what they say is the correct thing to do or hear. I assure you that when you become an adult and have your own kids you WILL remember the words from above- WHY DO PARENTS RUIN EVERYTHING, know why? because you will hear the exact words from your own kids.
You see its a cycle- what goes around comes around.
Hope you understand that your parents do love you and want what is best for you- even if sometimes you do not understand why they act the way they do.
Good luck, Love your parents- remember one day you will become one too.

it's not a parent's obligation to see that your every wish is fulfilled. it's your parents obligation to see that you turn into a decent person who knows right from wrong and has values that can't be shaken by peer pressure or anything else. and since they love you so much they take this responsibility very serious. trust me it hurts them to see you unhappy, but not raising you right would make you a lot unhappier down the road. i know that listening to reason right now is out of the question, then listen to your heart instead: do you really think they"ruin everything" because they simply want to make sure you are as unhappy as possible? or does your heart tell you that you are loved? unhappy, yes. but also loved.
by the way, in a few years you'll understand anyway.

Ruin or Teach, To lead you or to Follow you, to show you the path or let you get lost in the woods........ It's a parents "Life Time" responsibility to love, nurture, teach and help you ....... Yup you hate the attention now ... but you like the roof over your head, the TV set, Computer with Internet access, heat when its cold outside and A/C when it hot ...... life had alot of hidden rules and pit falls .... some times it sucks being told your cant fly ... but at least you didn't jump from the building and learn about gravity later !!

Signed: A Parent.

Do they really? They get married, have a child and love tht child more that life itself - then the child gets to be a certain age and wants nothing to do with the parents that love that child so much.

Parents have a job to do and that is protect and care for their children. Parents are only human beings, so they don't do a perfect job--but believe it or not, they try. I love my parents as a kid, I've give anything to have them here now "ruining" something in my life.

Why do children create problems that parents have to solve. It's an 18 year obligation without appreciation. You'd feel your parents were wrong for reacting to something that you planned, did, or said, and chances are it was for your best interest. There are two sides to every story and your parents are taking care of you so try to be respectful and grateful instead of complaining. At least you have parents who care about you. Some children don't.

Depends on what you are up to. Sometimes parents 'ruin everything' so that you can have 'everything' later on. If you look at it from their eyes 99% of the time they are doing things to protect you and because they love you.

Try not to be too hard on them, or on yourself. It will pass.

I felt the same way as a teenager. Now that I am a parent I don't think they try to ruin things. Just want what they think is best for their kids. Just try to remember it is done with love. ;)

didn't you know thats their job...lol i guess they really do when it comes to doin' something you really want to.. i'm 26 and i now regret giving my parents a hard time for not letting me do everything i wanted when i wanted.. they just want you to be safe and they want to make sure that your life won't get messed up because of drugs, babies and death.. parents love their kids and just want to see them doing well in life.. but good luck and i hope that maybe things will go your way for the best..
