I take it you are talking about an enterprise version of a programming environment?

It depends what language you are using. Borland for example, have enterprise architect versions for several languages. You need to learn the language and then learn the IDE at your own pace. Eventually you will pick up on things. You cannot simply learn it all over night - these things take time.

I use Delphi - and after 4 years I am still learning about the IDE features even now.
