What is the most economical way to get furniture to Spain from UK ? I am thinking of buying a van and driving down. Which is the best ferry? Or should I just pay for removals? I'm not loaded...

Hire a van that you can leave there to be collected. Otherwise the time and the cost of ferries and everything it is not worth your while. Are you taking a lot of furniture because stuff is cheap over there. And you will also find that the furniture that suits a house here doesn't always suit over there. If not look in Friday Ads and see if a man with a van is going over and needs to fill up his van. Also go on the net and look up Costa Blanca News and they often have a lot of people with part loads. You could try a furniture manufacturing company that delivers to Spain or an international removal company, as they sometimes have spare room on their lorries that they would be pleased to utilise, in able to get a full lorry load to make it worth their while going there. They would not charge as much as having to hire a van etc. If they don't have room then they can usually put you in touch with somebody that has. I have delivered part loads such as this in my travels as a lorry driver for a furniture company. Hope this helps?

hire a van and take it yourself,that way you can insure there's is nothing stolen or damaged.just dont stop at service stations an av a kip.you might get robbed,just like my outlaws did a couple of years ago..
