I know all abou tthe 70% heart rate is considered to be the fat burning zone and such (for myself), I am just wondering, if I am exercising and my heart rate is up to 156 approx, I am now in a different Zone of exercise, however, I Am still burning fat efficently right? What is the difference between the two zones ? The equation is 220 minus your age and such, I just need to know what the difference in fat burning there is in the zones. My main goal is to lose weight but not muscle. I do Yoga and such so I have muscle, I just want to lose the fat I have. (dont we all?)

You actually dont have to get your HR up that much to burn fat. Anaerobic exercises puts your body in the fat burning zone. If youre doing atheletic/cardio yoga, youre probably beyond that, but if it's just regular yoga, youre right there in the optimal fat burning zone.

Caveat: You WANT to be above the fat burning zone (burning both fat and muscle) for at least some of your workouts because it allows you to build muscle more efficiently. When your muscles tear down and build back up, they get stronger and burn more fat when resting. Runners and cyclists are regularly above the fat burning zone and they are definitely not lacking in mucles.

Hello,
Yoga can be a great friend in every diet. It's all about hormones balance. There are no "bad" hormones. But when hormones get unbalanced, bad things happen in your body. Your body releases cortisol when you're under stress. It's part of the whole “fight or flight” response. Increased cortisol levels could be making you fat. The kind of fat you are most likely to store from elevated cortisol is called visceral fat — the dangerous belly fat that’s linked to diabetes, high blood pressure and high cholesterol levels.

I'm following this great online program that teaches how to use YOGA to lose weight. You should check it out as well. This is the link of the site: http://yogafitness.toptips.org

Salt causes bloating and butter is loaded with calories, so flavor pasta, sauces, meat, and stews with fresh new herbs, garlic, and onions instead.
