Have you changed what you eat?
You may a reaction to the foods you intake. Have you tried to separate carbs and stuff? It is hard when trying to loose weight. Don't give up though. Keep at it and you WILL find what food's are right for you.
I lost over 4 stone a few years ago by following the Slimming World plan, it really works! Maybe going to a group and being weighed every week would help you more? If you really want to loose weight, you will do it!
Good luck with it all and stick to it! You will feel the benefit in ALL areas of you life!

I had the same thing happen when I tried to lose weight. This is what I discovered.
1) I was not eating enough. Believe it or not
2) Salt prevents weight loss
3) Oils and butters prevent weight loss
4) Hard exercise prevents weight loss. Easy, slow exercise promotes weight loss. Walking, lifting very light weights for repetition instead of mass muscle gain.
I would also avoid red meats, poultry skin, dark meat, and breads. Eat small meals and snack in between on berries, or other low sugar fruits. Eat good carbs such as a very small potato with no butter or sour cream. Egg whites are good, egg yolks are not, but egg whites are bad for you if you have high blood pressure. Be aware.
Talk to your doctor. Tell him what you are doing and get the appropriate blood test for your thyroid, liver, etc. Make sure you are not being hampered by body chemistry. A doctors advice is a good thing. So please see a doctor to make sure you are the best you, you can be. Please!
Eat plenty of greens. They are good fillers and not fatting. A cup of rice a day is good or small potato as long as you don't add the fixings to make them taste better. Plan your meal around your veggies, not your protein. This will help you change the way you think about food.
Finally, you are the only one who needs to accept you. Love yourself and treat yourself to that new body you deserve. The clothes are the icing on the cake. You are the cake.
Good luck.

I would recommend "The Abs Diet" which is a book by the editors of Men's Health. Not sure if you're a male or female, but it will work for either. There are great recommendations on types of things to eat and snack on, so if you don't want to cook the meals recommended in there, it will still help. But, they do have good recipes, also. There is a workout program that is okay, but you can stick with your own regiment, too. Things it covers includes, eating 5-6 small meals a day, so you don't gorge yourself between less often eaten meals, healthy and quick snacks, good smoothies to make, the principle that you can eat as much as you are hungry for as long as it is healthy, and it is an interesting read.

Your body may be losing fat and gaining muscle. Muscle weighs more so this could account for this. Check the measurements around chest, waist, hips and use that as a better guide.
How much has intake reduced? Suggest you weigh the portions as the eyes can be deceived by that little devil in your brain.
Make sure the things you are eating are low GI (measure of conversion of sugars) and low calorie.

Suggestions:
Keep a food diary, and write EVERYTHING down that passes your lips. It's so, so easy to eat high-calorie snacklike food bits without even realizing it.
Eliminate ALL sweets, if you haven't already. They mess up your metabolism, and make it harder for you to lose weight.
Never skip a meal. Apart from slowing down your metabolism, you might wind up doing what my coworker does (she's trying to lose weight, too, without luck). She'll buy a bag of Cheetos, and rationalize it by saing, "well, I didn't have any breakfast." She doesn't understand that she can't skip a meal, make up for it by eating a bag of Cheetos, and expect to lose weight.
Encouragement:
I have a friend who weighed around 300 pounds, female, 5'4".
She lost weight down to 132 on Overeaters Anonymous, and kept it off.
So...it CAN be done!
Your best bet is to NOT ACT. If you feel like eating between meals, DON'T ACT on the feeling. Chew gum. Distract yourself by doing something else.
You may think you're doing everything right, but if you haven't lost any weight at all after four weeks, SOMETHING is wrong.

Hey, don't worry! I've been working out and dieting for 7 weeks, and it wasn't until about last week that I even noticed a difference AT ALL, and it was only 2 pounds. A nurse told me that it often takes 6 weeks for your metabolism to start speeding up from exercise and for the muscles you're builing up to help burn fat. So don't feel discouraged; it will happen! Just stick to it, don't deprive yourself and work out every day if possible, even if it's for only 20 minutes. Just do something that will keep your body moving!

If you were doing everything right, you would have lost weight. There's something you're not admitting to, or you're doing the wrong kind of exercising.
If you're putting on muscle as well as loosing fat, you'll maintain a similar weight for a while. Persevere and you will certainly loose weight.
If you are doing muscle building exercise, switch to a more aerobic program.

reduction of food doesnt equal less fat, i mean you poop out what you dont absorb anyways, which means your still eating enough to maintain your weight. what you wanna do is eat less fatty foods, more vegitables, and at the right times, foodcombining.com will help you out with that. what you want is to eat enough meals, also eat nuts (almonds) about half an hour before you eat a meal, just a few, it'll help reduce your craving for food, eat slower so your body has time to realize its full, and my god excersise!!!! cardio, and some light weight lifting will make you drip more than a pound a week!!!!

Sounds like you have hit a plateau. Which is where your body is converting fat to muscle, and we all know muscle weighs more than fat. Don't go by a number for your success, go by the way you look, feel and the way your clothes fit as a judge of weight loss. Best of luck to you and keep on going!
