Obviously it's a fable but hypothetically if there were a universal flood then the sea water would have been greatly diluted and sea creatures can't survive in fresh water so they would have been wiped out.

I wondered that a lot too. The conclusion I came to (I'm not sure if it's right) is that the creatures in the waters survived because it was a flood and it may not hurt them. And in the early books of the Bible God specifies differences between creatures of earth, air, and water. So I'm thinking that the creatures of the water may not have been included with "creatures of the earth". I could be wrong but that's my take on it.

God destroyed the international that replaced into while a million/3 of God's babies fell away. devil desperate he had to be there savior, have been given on an ego holiday, and made an attempt of God's throne. incredibly of killing the a million/3, God destroyed the age. The waters have been all above the earth up as much as now, yet got here crashing down violently. The Pangaea great continent erupted and divided into huge land a lot. Ashfall Park, Nebraska provides testimony to this. Woolly Mammoths have been found preserved in tundra with buttercups of their stomachs. Buttercups do no longer advance on the poles in this earth age, yet did previously the over throw. the full earth replaced into as quickly as a tropical paradise.

I believe the water creatures (fish etc) lived.
9And God said, "Let the waters under the heavens be gathered together into one place, and let the dry land appear." And it was so. 10 God called the dry land Earth, and the waters that were gathered together he called Seas. (Genesis 1:9-10)
It is stated that the dry land is called earth, and the waters, seas.

... if waters rose up... and creatures of the water reside in the water and didn't go to land... I would think that the creatures of water would thrive, most of them anyways. They live in the water.
Not to mention the bit about the creatures of earth or on earth were destroyed, meaning land creatures, I would assume, not water creatures.

Why would the water kill the fish? I think a little common sense would give the answer.
